Christmas is a time when we hear good news of great joy!
Every year, Woodstock holds a huge "lighting of the square" event the day after Thanksgiving where the beautiful Christmas lights decorating the Woodstock Square are turned on. Throughout December, we enjoy the wonder of these lights.
On Christmas Eve, we celebrate the true light of the world being born. The birth of Jesus, who is God's Son and our Savior, is what Christmas celebrates. On Christmas Eve, we will gather for one hour to sing traditional Christmas carols, hear a short message from the Bible, and end with singing by candlelight.
All are welcome to join whether you call Good News Church your home or not. Most wear casual attire.
- When: December 24th from 5:00-6:00pm
- Where: 110 S Johnson St on the second floor (handicap accessible). This is the Woodstock Square Mall kitty-corner from Starbucks.
Note: there will be no worship gathering in the morning on December 24th. There will only be the Christmas Eve service in the evening.
Where can I find you?
You can find us at 110 S Johnson St on the Woodstock square. We are located on the second floor of the Woodstock Square Mall (handicap accessible) which is kitty-corner from Starbucks. You'll see a sandwich board sign in front of the building. Visit our "Find us on the square" page for more information.
What about kids?
Kids will remain in the sanctuary for the Christmas Eve service. We've put together an activity bag for younger kids to enjoy during the service if they'd like.
If you are curious about our children's ministry on Sunday mornings, you can check out our Good News Kids page.
