How do we know that our faith is real? How do we know that we really believe what we say we believe? When we go through trials, our faith is tested and we find out if it is real or if it was all just "talk". In the letter of James, he brings up four characters from the Old Testament as examples of faith: Abraham, Rahab, Job, and Elijah. In all of their lives, we will see people who were faced with extreme trials that tested their faith. They are examples for us to follow because they showed their faith was real by how they acted in those trials.
