Joseph: Becoming a Blessing
God chose to bless Abraham's family so they could be a blessing. But when we meet the 4th generation of twelve sons in this family in Genesis 37, they are a dysfunctional mess filled with hate, jealousy, rivalry, violence, and deceit. And these are the men after whom the twelve tribes of Israel are named! But God takes them on a character-forming journey that puts his greatness, goodness, and grace on display. Through it, they see and we see that despite the mess of our sin, God can still work out his purposes for our good and his glory.
