The Women of Christmas

Hope, peace, joy, and love are traditional themes during the Christmas season. But why are they connected to the birth of Jesus? How does Jesus give us hope, peace, joy, and love? It’s because of what Jesus came to do: bring us home to God. Without him, we are disconnected from God and that makes everything in life harder. But with him, we get a new beginning in God’s family. This is shown by the women in Jesus’ family tree found in Matthew 1. They show us that anyone, through faith in Jesus, can become part of his family.
