Rain Day Worship Guide

This is a guide for you to worship at home if we have a canceled worship gathering due to rain.

Earlier this year, we went through a series called "Pictures of Following Jesus" using our Community Practices as a road map. Each message was based on a story in the gospels. These are great for kids and easy to have a discussion about.

For this week, go to the Pictures of Following Jesus sermon series page on our website (click here). Pick a message that you missed or want to go over again. Read the passage that is listed with the sermon. You can listen to the sermon if you'd like. Use the discussion questions below for the passage you read/sermon you listened to. I provided questions for the first six sermons (not the March 8 sermon).

Surrender

Believing the Gospel

• How is this a picture of the gospel?
• What would it look like for me to believe this gospel right now?
• Is there a specific, concrete step you want to take this week?

Living as Family

• What does it look like for me to live as family with my church right now?
• Is there a specific, concrete step you want to take this week?

Loving as Servants

• How is this a picture of loving as servants?
• What does it look like for me to love as a servant right now?
• Is there a specific, concrete step you want to take this week?

Going as Messengers

• How is this a picture of going as a messenger?
• What does it look like for me to go as a messenger right now?
• Is there a specific, concrete step you want to take this week?

Relying on the Spirit

• How is this a picture of relying on the Spirit?
• What would it look like for me to rely on the Spirit right now?
• Is there a specific, concrete step you want to take this week?

Worship with others:

As a church, we want to encourage one another even when we aren't gathering in person. If you are on WhatsApp, take a few minutes to post in the Encouragement group on WhatsApp.

Here are some examples of what you could post:

• how God spoke to you through your time of worshiping at home
• a verse that stood out to you
• a song that touched you from the worship playlist
• a truth that God reminded you of that you needed to hear
• what God is teaching you
• a prayer
• thankfulness to God - who he is, what he's done
• and more!
