Psalms of Summer 2023

The 150 psalms in the Bible have been called the church's prayer and song book. While all other books of the Bible are mainly God addressing his people, this book of the Bible is mainly people addressing their God. This means that they show us how to approach God and what God wants us to bring to him. The Psalms tell us that God welcomes us into his presence to "pour out our heart before him" (Psalm 62:8) The Psalms are God giving us permission to express how we are feeling and how we are doing to him, whether we are sad, angry, scared, happy, excited, or any mixture of emotions. Let's allow God to teach us how to talk to him.
